Laser Barcode scanner

Working principle

The laser scanner is the most expensive among many scanners, because it provides more complete functions and better functional indicators, and the current usage is relatively high. The laser scanner emits a beam of light through a laser diode, and then the light is reflected by the prism and then converted into an electrical signal by the scanner, which finally encodes the barcode. The laser scanner has high recognition and reading ability, can read irregular barcode labels or can identify barcodes by stealing media such as glass, and has good anti-drop performance.

Advantage

A laser barcode scanner has many advantages, such as low cost, stable technology, wide recognition, and simple data.

Disadvantages

A laser barcode scanner cannot scan screens and QR codes.

CCD image barcode scanner

Working principle

The CCD barcode scanner parses the barcode information by covering the entire barcode label with LED light, and it scans the entire barcode.

CMOS image barcode scanner uses photoelectric elements to convert the detected optical signal into an electrical signal, and then convert the electrical signal into a digital signal through an analog-to-digital converter and transmit it to the MCU of the scanner for decoding, and then transmit it to the computer to be deal with.

Advantage

An image barcode scanner has better-corrupted barcode scanning, and it can read screens and 2D codes.
